Welcome to the ClearCoin Blog

We will be using this blog to talk about new features for the ClearCoin bitcoin escrow service, and let you know what we're working on.

As always, we welcome your feedback and comments!

  1. am i missing something here? it seems to me that as long as the sender has the freedom to either let the escrow expire (and receive a refund if this is what he chose) or to deny delivery (even if he has received merchandise) then receiver still has significant risk of being cheated. unless Clearcoin is willing to step in the middle and investigate a dispute, what fx does it really serve in these cases where fraud is at issue?

  2. You're missing charity escrows, where the bitcoins are donated to charity instead of refunded if the deal goes bad.

You can also use ClearCoin to arrange "half now, half on delivery" escrows; where the person receiving the bitcoins can demand that half the amount in escrow be released before they deliver the goods.
